Tree Preservation Order Applications
A Tree Preservation Order (or TPO), under the Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation)(England) Regulations 2012, is an order made by a local planning authority in England to protect specific trees, groups of trees or woodlands.
Owners of trees subject to a TPO must not carry out, cause or permit the carrying out any prohibited activities to the tree(s) without the written consent of the local planning authority.
Written consent to undertake works to a tree subject to a TPO is typically undertaken by an application made to the local authority. However, there are a number of exceptions where written consent is not required to undertake works.
Longleaf Tree and Woodland Consultancy are able to make TPO applications for works to trees on your behalf. Contact us today to discuss your project requirements.
